Thando who has a postgraduate diploma in marketing management from the University of Cape Town, calls herself an extrovert and says she is enthusiastic, hilarious, eccentric, and dramatic.
She takes pleasure in hanging out with her friends, going shopping, listening to music, unwinding in the company of wonderful people, and “sipping on some bubbles.” Her bad behavior is described as “I am messy (I am very hygienic), but I tend to believe in structured chaos,” which is a contradiction in terms.

The most helpful guidance she received was from her own mother. Never be satisfied with mediocrity; instead, strive to be the greatest and to be among the best. Thando is deeply committed to fostering the development of brilliant minds coming from underprivileged environments. “I worked as a volunteer tutor for Shawco, a non-profit organization that used to visit schools in underserved communities.”
Thando Journey In Big Brother Mzansi 2014
On Day 1, she made her way into the Main House. In Week 3, when the girls failed the Secrets Task, she was in danger of being voted out of the game, but the Head of Household, Mzamo, spared her from the public vote.
During the fifth week of Big Brother, Head of Household Sol saved Mandla and replaced him with Thando. Thando was subsequently put up for a public vote and survived after receiving 11% of the votes to save her.
She was one of the five housemates who were caught breaking the no-conspiracy rule during Week 7, and as a result, all of the housemates were put up for a public vote.
